Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon

Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at Queen Alexandra Hospital since 2000. After graduating from Oxford University with a medicine degree in 1990, Mr. Kirwan worked as a trust research and clinical fellow at the Institute of Ophthalmology and Moorfields Eye Hospital. He organised a multi-centre trial of glaucoma surgery in South Africa before coming to Portsmouth. Mr Kirwan main areas of expertise are glaucoma, cataract and general ophthalmology.
