Peter Hodgkins qualified at Birmingham University Medical School in 1988, and trained as a registrar at both at Cambridge and Southampton Universities, before completing a one-year Fellowship at Great Ormond Street and Moorfields Eye Hospital.

Mr. Hodgkins first Consultancy position was with the Southampton Eye Unit, where he developed a particular interest in eyelid surgery and treatment for watery eyes. Today, Mr. Hodgkins is one of the top Oculoplastic and functional eyelid surgeons in the UK. In addition to his consultancy position with Optegra, Mr. Hodgkins is also the lead clinician for ophthalmology undergraduates at the University of Southampton.
