What is Wavefront?

Wavefront abnormalities are the tiny focusing imperfections which decrease the quality of vision.  They are as unique to every eye as a fingerprint.  Whilst Wavefront abnormalities are often not corrected by glasses or contact lenses, they may be successfully treated by laser.

Wavefront correction is a major advance in Laser Vision Correction surgery, as it can adapt the treatment for each individual eye. It measures imperfections in the eye 25 times more precisely than regular methods, so even subtle variations are picked up, resulting in truly personalised treatment.
