Past professional history
Miss Amerasinghe's Ophthalmology career began in Norwich and the well regarded Wessex Ophthalmology rotation including advanced speciality training in Glaucoma at Southampton and Portsmouth Hospitals. Subsequently, she undertook a further 2 years advanced training as a Clinical Glaucoma Research Fellow at the world renowned Singapore National Eye Centre, and a Clinical Glaucoma fellowship at the internationally acclaimed Moorfields Eye Hospital, London. She was a Locum Consultant at Moorfields, a Consultant at both St Richard’s Hospital, Chichester and Worthing Hospital before taking up her current post as Consultant at Southampton University Hospitals Trust.
