Mr Cannon holds clinic at the Optegra Eye Hospital Manchester. His undergraduate training was undertaken in University College Galway, Ireland. He has trained and worked in a number of centres across the United Kingdom and Ireland, before taking up a consultancy post in Manchester.
Mr Cannon has completed Oculoplastic, Orbital and Lacrimal Fellowships in 2 internationally renowned centres of excellence in the Royal Adelaide Hospital, Australia and the Manchester Royal Eye Hospital.
Mr Cannon performs cataract surgery in addition to a wide range of Oculoplastic procedures including eyelid malposition (droopy lids, baggy lid corrections), eyelid lesion removal and biopsy, eyelid tumour reconstruction, and Orbital procedures such as biopsy of lesions, fracture repairs and globe removal. He also performs a range of aesthetic techniques, in addition to endonasal nasolacrimal surgery.
Mr Cannon has published articles on numerous oculoplastic topics and sits on a number of peer review journal panels. He is actively involved in the Oculoplastic Fellowship programme at the Manchester Royal Eye Hospital and is a Clinical Supervisor responsible for training junior colleagues.
