If you’re thinking of having laser eye surgery, it’s only natural that one of your main concerns will be the cost. What’s important to remember is that laser eye surgery
is a long-term investment in your vision which you’ll benefit from for years to come. What’s more, the treatment could mean that you no longer need to pay for glasses or contact lenses, so over the years you may even find it saves you money.
At Optegra, we believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to improve their vision, so we do everything we can to help make treatments affordable. We offer finance options which allow you to spread payments over 12, 24 or 48 months, which is a great way of spreading the cost into affordable monthly instalments. Depending on the finance option you choose, there is 0% finance available, so you won’t need to pay any interest on the overall cost of treatment. You can also choose a payment plan with no deposit upfront. Our options are flexible, so you can choose what’s best for you.
Our laser eye surgery prices
are fixed and include any aftercare you may need, so the price you see is the price you get and you don’t need to worry about any expected additions on your final bill.
How much does LASIK cost at Optegra?
The cost of LASIK and LASEK eye surgery at Optegra is currently £1,795 per eye, whilst the cost of ReLEx SMILE is £2,250 per eye (as of February 2017). If you like, you can pay the total sum upfront. However, if you’d prefer to spread the payments out, there are several options available for you, including:
With this option, you’ll pay a 10% upfront deposit of £179.50. After that, you’ll pay 12 monthly payments of £134.62, making up a final total of £1,794.94.
If you choose this option, again you’ll need to pay a 10% upfront deposit of £179.50. Then there will be 24 monthly payments of £67.31, making up a final total of £1,794.94.
With this option, you’ll pay a 20% upfront deposit of £359. Then there will be 48 monthly payments of £29.91, making up a final total of £1,794.68.
If you can’t afford to pay a deposit upfront then don’t worry. We also offer finance options with no deposit required. Payments can be spread over 12, 24 or 48 months, with an interest rate of 9.9% APR.
With Optegra, paying for laser eye treatment couldn’t be easier. Our vision was to keep the whole process as simple and affordable as possible. After all, a clear vision is something we know a lot about.
Our fixed price package
At Optegra, we believe that choosing the right option for your eyesight shouldn’t be about cost. That’s why we offer fixed prices and a range of payment options, so you can be sure of finding an option that’s affordable for you. With our fixed price packages, you’ll know exactly how much your treatment is going to cost, how long you have to repay and how much you need for a deposit. It really is as simple as that.
The best value for money
Of course, we don’t just pride ourselves on offering a clear, fair and simple pricing system. We also strive to offer incredible value for money.
Our world-class ophthalmic surgeons are renowned in their field. Each of them is NHS trained, as well as being a fellow of the Royal College of Opthalmologists or equivalent organisations. You’ll benefit from seeing the same surgeon all the way through your treatment process, from your initial consultation and surgery right through to aftercare, and all of our care is personalised. We know that every patient is an individual, so we create a personal treatment plan that works for you.
Our laser eye surgery prices also include any aftercare you may need, as this is one of the most important parts of the treatment process. Any medication that you require to help the healing process is included and there’s even an out of hours helpline should you need any advice.
What’s not included in the price?
In fact, the only part of the process that is not included in our fixed price is the initial consultation. But there’s a very good reason for that: it’s free. That’s right. We don’t think you should have to pay just to find out whether you’re a suitable candidate for treatment. That’s why your initial appointment with one of our specialist surgeons won’t cost you a penny.
During your consultation, your surgeon will carry out diagnostic tests to determine whether you’re suitable for laser eye surgery, as well as advising you on the best treatment option for your needs. If you decide to go ahead with treatment, you’ll then be able to choose the payment plan that’s best for you.
