Medical insurance and finance options

Covered by medical insurance?

Optegra are recognised by all major medical insurers. If you have medical insurance and would like to use this to cover the cost of treatment, it is important to contact your insurer before you commence your treatment. If you wish for a member of the patient liaison team to speak with your insurer on your behalf, we will be happy to do that.

If you have any questions about the prices shown above, please talk to one of our team and they will explain everything in detail.

Patient finance options

If you wish to apply for any of Optegra’s finance options, please bring proof of your address such as a recent utility bill (of the last 3 months) and photographic identification (e.g. passport or both parts of your driving licence) to your consultation, as these documents are required for the application.

Payment terms

Payment is required at least five days before the day of your treatment. We accept payment from all major debit or credit cards except for American Express and Diners Club. We also accept bank transfers and cheques. Please note we do not accept cash.

If you intend to use your medical insurance to cover the cost of treatment, we recommend you contact your insurer to ascertain what cover they will provide in your particular case – Optegra will provide you with the procedure code to help you with this. The insurer will give you a claim or authorisation number, or send you a form to complete. Please be sure to give this authorisation code to the Optegra team prior to your surgery date.

If your insurer agrees to pay the whole cost of your treatment, we will send our invoice to them in order that they can pay us directly. However, if your insurer is only paying for part of your treatment, we will issue you an invoice for the difference between the cost of your treatment and your insurer’s contribution.

All prices are subject to change. Any services provided are subject to Optegra’s Terms and Conditions; the current copy of which can be obtained from each of our hospitals or by writing to Optegra Finance department, 11/13 Frederick Sanger Road, The Surrey Research Park, Guildford, Surrey, GU2 7YD.
