On Thursday 22nd November 2012 we welcomed local MP Matthew Offord to officially open our newest hospital, Optegra Eye Hospital, London in NW9.
Amongst the guests at the opening were a number of potential Clarivu patients who came to hear a detailed explanation of the benefits of the permanent lens replacement procedure, and how it compares to laser eye surgery; as well as enjoying a tour of the brand new hospital. All received gift bags with luxury Pevonia Botanica
treats including; Pevonia eye gel, eye cream and caviar hand and foot cream.
Journalists also attended, from trade – including Optometry Today
– and from consumer media, London Glossy magazine.
Talks were given by Gareth Steer, MD of Optegra, and consultant surgeons Sundeep Kheterpal and Vik Sharma. MP Matthew Offord
also welcomed Optegra to NW9 ahead of cutting the red ribbon.
The opening comes at a time when new research reveals that over three quarters (77%) of Londoners suffer from sore and tired eyes, with the leading cause (cited by 37%) being dust and wind on tube platforms.
Dedicated entirely to eye health, all Optegra hospitals are equipped with a full range of leading diagnostic and surgical equipment, and each hospital offers a consultant-led approach to eye care, where every patient meets with their surgeon to discuss and agree their bespoke treatment.
