As a keen cross stitcher, clear vision was very important to Lis. “I sew all day every day, making everything from wedding samplers to thank you cards and gifts for family and friends” she said.
However, Lis noticed that she was struggling to differentiate between the colours of the threads and was completing work by feel rather than what she could actually see. She was also struggling to see number plates on cars and was at the point of stopping driving altogether.
“I was referred to Optegra Eye Hospital Manchester by my optician and I chose them because they had the shortest waiting list, plus a friend recommended them to me following her own cataract surgery.
“My experience was excellent and I felt confident from beginning to end. All the staff were superb – many years ago I worked in a hospital so I know about good patient care.
“I would certainly recommend Optegra to anyone who is currently on a long waiting list – I was seen within just a few weeks. My vision for sewing is now so much clearer, the colours are brighter and the holes look a lot bigger! I only missed one day of sewing, on the day of my surgery. I even created a special cross stitch card for the staff at Optegra to say thank you.”
