Covered by medical insurance?
Refractive treatments are a elective, and therefore not covered by private medical insurance. However, if you are having a cataract procedure and would like to "upgrade" your lens to a refractive lens instead of a monofocal, your insurer may pay for part of your refractive procedure to cover the cataract cost. Each insurer is different however, so it is important to speak with them before you commence your treatment.
Optegra accepts payment from all major debit or credit cards except for American Express and Diners Club. Unfortunately we are unable to accept cash.
Payment is required at least 5 days before your surgery day, unless your private medical insurance covers your care. If you use your private medical insurance, please be sure to give the authorisation code to the Optegra team prior to your surgery date.
