Nihal Elghryany

Biography

Ms Elghryany is an ophthalmologist with expertise in glaucoma treatment, in particular drop less glaucoma treatment. After graduating with Honours from Cairo University, Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, Ms Elghryany completed her ophthalmology residency in Cairo University Hospitals and earned a Master’s Degree by Research in Ophthalmology. She is an MD candidate by Research in Ophthalmology. She worked at the Royal London Hospital before joining Optegra.

She is a member of several professional organisations, including:

• The UK and Eire Glaucoma Society
• The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh
• The European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery ESCRS
• The Medical Defence Union
• The British Medical Association

Additionally, Ms Elghryany is a fellow of The International Council in Ophthalmology. She has participated in many national and international conferences as an invited speaker and faculty member.
