Our Bradford clinic is home to some of the UK’s most experienced refractive surgeons, supported by advanced diagnostic and laser technology to deliver safe, effective treatment.

Whether you’re considering LASIK, LASEK, or the gentle ReLEx SMILE procedure, we’ll guide you through every stage with personalised care and honest advice. It all begins with a free consultation, where we’ll assess your suitability and discuss options that work for your lifestyle and goals. Each treatment plan is designed to help you achieve clearer vision with minimal downtime. With a reputation for outstanding clinical care, our Bradford team is here to help you see the world more clearly and live with greater confidence.

Lens Replacement Surgery

Our Bradford eye hospital offers advanced lens replacement surgery, also known as refractive lens exchange, to help you enjoy clearer vision without the need for glasses or contact lenses. This treatment is ideal for those over 50 who are experiencing natural, age-related changes to their sight. During the procedure, we replace your eye’s natural lens with a high-quality artificial lens that’s carefully selected to suit your lifestyle and visual needs.

Whether you’re long-sighted, short-sighted, or finding reading more difficult, our experienced consultants in Bradford use the same trusted techniques as modern cataract surgery to deliver safe, effective, and long-lasting results. From your first consultation to ongoing aftercare, you’ll be supported by a team known for its clinical expertise and caring approach. If you’re considering reducing your reliance on glasses, our Bradford team is here to guide you with confidence and clarity.

Cataract Surgery

Our Bradford eye clinic offers expert cataract treatment in a calm and comfortable setting, helping you see clearly and feel more confident in your everyday life. Cataracts are a common age-related condition where the lens of the eye becomes cloudy over time, causing blurred or dimmed vision. At our Bradford clinic, our experienced ophthalmic surgeons carry out cataract surgery using advanced microsurgical techniques to gently replace the cloudy lens with a clear, permanent intraocular lens.

The procedure is quick, typically pain-free, and carried out as a day case so you can return home the same day. We offer both NHS and private treatment options, including a range of lens choices that may reduce your reliance on glasses. From your first consultation through to full recovery, our Bradford team is here to support you every step of the way. With Optegra Bradford, you can feel confident you’re receiving outstanding care tailored to your needs.

How to secure NHS referral to Optegra

If you have been diagnosed with a cataract and are keen to have treatment sooner rather than later, Optegra Bradford will be able to help.

Cataract can develop slowly over time, causing blurred vision, clouding of vision and even double vision for some people. As it happens so gradually, patients often do not realise how badly their eyesight has deteriorated until they have the actual treatment — and then they say they can see in HD!

The procedure is pain-free and the most commonly performed elective surgery in the NHS — it takes only around 20 minutes and is conducted as a day case procedure with no need for any overnight stays.

To secure your own timely NHS treatment at Optegra Bradford, simply ask your GP or community optician to refer you.
