Mr Darshak Patel is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon specialising in cataract and refractive surgery.

He completed his specialist ophthalmic training in London, followed by advanced fellowship training in complex cataract surgery and corneal transplantation at the Western Eye Hospital and Moorfields Eye Hospital. He subsequently undertook a fellowship in refractive surgery at the London Vision Clinic, where he spent four years as the lead surgeon for cataract surgery and refractive lens exchange.

Mr Patel is one of a small number of surgeons in the UK to have completed formal fellowship training in both corneal transplantation and laser refractive surgery, providing him with a unique breadth of expertise in vision correction.Alongside his clinical practice, Mr Patel is actively involved in research and education. He regularly teaches other ophthalmologists and presents at national and international meetings, ensuring his practice remains at the forefront of advances in his field.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two young children. As a family, they love travelling together and exploring the countryside of the Chiltern Hills.
