Optegra - Consultant Ophthalmologist Mr Shafiq Rehman Eye Hospital Yorkshire. Refractive Surgery. I booked a consultation with Mr Rehman as I wanted to have refractive lens exchange and he had carried out the procedure some years ago for my husband and he was delighted with the outcome. The consultation was very thorough and comprised of scans and an extensive eye examination. Mr Rehman explained the benefits and advantages along with the compromises that are sometimes associated with multifocal lens implants. He also talked through the process of the surgery so I had all the facts to make my decision. I had both eyes done on the same day as that suited my life style. The procedure was completed in about 30mins it was pain free and Mr Rehman and his team were caring and made me feel very comfortable throughout the process. I was provided with all the medication and contact telephone numbers if I needed any questions or support after leaving the clinic. I returned for my follow up this week and Mr Rehman confirmed that things had gone well and my vision was now better that 20/20 wow. I cannot thank Mr Rehman and his team enough for the top quality care they gave me and the shear joy of being able to go about my daily life without glasses. 10 out of 10. J.Strother
