About Optegra

Optegra Eye Hospital was born in 2007, with the vision of providing truly outstanding eye health care for every patient.

Since then, we have grown nationwide, with 19 dedicated eye hospitals and clinics in the UK, and across Europe in the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, and Holland (Netherlands). This brings the total of eye hospitals to 78. 

More importantly, since then, we have successfully treated over a million patients and helped them to live a better life, and see each day in glorious high definition.

Our singular focus on eye health care and consultant-led approach means we deliver the right treatment for every patient. Since the hospital group was established, Optegra Eye Sciences was created, comprising dedicated research optometrists and academics leading the way in championing the latest innovations in ophthalmology.

Reflecting Optegra’s commitment to the ongoing medical developments in the ophthalmic world and crucially to ensuring that while Optegra offers the latest technologies, treatments and equipment to its patients, these are all of the highest efficacy and sound medical approval; and that all procedures are thoroughly monitored on an ongoing basis with our rigorous audit programmes.

The not-for-profit research division, Optegra Eye Sciences, is committed to:

Optegra also runs a Professional Partnership Programme of education and development with optometrists and opticians across the country, ensuring the very best medical treatments are available to all, and sharing its ophthalmic expertise and knowledge.

This includes hosting a number of educational events and webinars to help healthcare professionals secure their ongoing Continual Professional Development  (CPD) points which are a statutory requirement to ensure up to date skills for all eye care practitioners.
