Charlotte Lever, from Guildford, says her vision is now “perfect” and life is so much easier now she has had laser eye surgery
at Optegra Surrey Eye Hospital and no longer needs to wear glasses or contact lenses.
Now 29, Charlotte had worn lenses since 17 and was keen to find out if she was suitable for laser eye surgery
. As she works long hours in corporate banking she was concerned about wearing her contact lenses from six am until nine pm most days: “I know I am not supposed to wear them that long but I really did not want to wear glasses so it meant I often ended up with dry, itchy eyes. I just did not want the hassle of contacts and glasses any more” she said.
Charlotte enjoys swimming but found this difficult with contacts, and particularly found lenses a hassle when trying to enjoy the beach on holiday.
She was impressed that she saw her surgeon
, Mr Sundeep Kheterpal, right from her first appointment and appreciated that there was no pressure put on her whatsoever. “I think Optegra were brilliant right from the start, all the staff were so welcoming and professional.”
Since having laser eye treatment
, Charlotte is loving not having to worry about lenses and not needing to carry lots of drops and solutions everywhere she goes. “From saving me time in the mornings, to coping with long hours on the computer, I wish I had done this years ago!”
