Our Surrey Eye Clinic
Optegra’s five-star rated eye hospital in Guildford, is committed to delivering world-class services and treatments to patients, offering easy access to ophthalmic assessment and NHS cataract surgery, as well as private services for implantable contact lens (ICL) surgery, lens replacement and cataract surgery. Private patients can also have their initial and follow up face-to-face consultations at our Surrey Eye Hospital for laser eye surgery, with the procedure itself being performed at our nearby hospital in Central London or Hampshire (patient choice dependent).
All treatments are delivered by our renowned, NHS-trained ophthalmologist surgeons and are also all overseen by our International Medical Advisory Committee (IMAC). This ensures we maintain our levels of quality, care and aftercare to the very highest standards.

Upgrade to our Surrey Eye Hospital
Over the coming months, we’ll be carrying out a major refurbishment of our hospital, creating a modern, welcoming environment for our patients and teams, while helping us continue to deliver outstanding eye care for years to come.
The hospital will remain open for most of the works, although there may be limited/reduced parking on site. We apologise in advance for any inconvenience and want to reassure you that your care and safety will remain our priority throughout.
The refurbishment will include improvements to our operating theatre set-up, reception and waiting areas, consulting and diagnostic rooms, and patient and staff facilities. These changes will help us continue to deliver outstanding eye care for our patients for many years to come.
The hospital will close from 5th December 2026 and will fully reopen on 11th January 2027. We’re excited to bring this next chapter of our Surrey hospital to life.
