Mr Masood is a consultant ophthalmic surgeon at the prestigious Birmingham and Midland Eye Centre. As well as dealing with the full range of general ophthalmic conditions he has a special interest in the assessment, diagnosis and medical and surgical management of all forms of Glaucoma.
He holds the fellowship of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and has undergone training in the management of complex glaucoma at the world renowned Moorfields Eye Hospital.
He has a particular interest in complicated cataract surgery, cataract surgery in glaucoma patients and in minimally invasive (key hole) Glaucoma surgical operations. He is involved in developing these new techniques at the Birmingham and Midland Eye Centre.
He is actively involved in training and research and has published a number of scientific papers. He has also given presentations at various meetings around the world.
