Mr Chung has been a consultant at Optegra Eye Hospital Yorkshire since January 2007 and his special interests include Advanced Small incision Sutureless Cataract Surgery, Dry eyes, Cornea & Anterior segment as well as Eyelid surgery.

Mr Chung graduated from the Medical School in the University of Leeds in 1996. He had undertaken both the basic and advanced surgical training in ophthalmology in the Yorkshire region. He then developed my sub-specialty interests in Cornea and Oculoplastic (Eyelid) surgery by undertaking a super specialised fellowship programme at the Manchester Royal Eye Hospital & Leeds General Infirmary. He is particularly well qualified, having performed in excess of 13,000 ophthalmic operations (including over 5,000 small-incision sutureless cataract/lens surgery and 4,000 eyelid surgery).
While he had been trained to manage all general eye conditions, he specialises in Advanced Small incision Sutureless Cataract Surgery, Dry eyes, Cornea & Anterior segment as well as Eyelid surgery e.g.
• Sutureless Cataract surgery (including advanced intra-ocular lens implantation).
• Corneal grafting (both full thickness and more advanced partial thickness lamellar grafting) and other corneal and anterior segment surgery.
• Eyelid surgery e.g eyelid lump/cyst removal, correction for droopy or sagging eyelids, in-turning/out-turning eyelids.
• Dry eyes
