Mr Estephan finished his medical school with honour degree in 1993. He was trained at Aintree University Hospital in Liverpool and Peterborough Hospitals NHS Trusts. He has been working as a consultant Ophthalmologist at Calderdale and Huddersfield Hospitals NHS Trust since 2013.

In addition to a large experience in general ophthalmology, Neuro-ophthalmology and Glaucoma, Mr Estephan has special interest in cataract surgery including complex cataract surgery and toric intra-ocular lenses to correct astigmatism. In addition, Mr Estephan has a large experience in the wide field of medical retina including the treatment of age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein occlusions and many other retinal disorders.

Mr Estephan teaches trainees performing cataract surgery and different laser procedures at Calderdale and Huddersfield Hospitals NHS. In addition, he supervises many registrars in their clinics and provide advice to them.

Mr Estephan presented excellent teaching lectures with recent special interest in optical coherence tomography and complex cataract surgery teaching skills. In addition, he did a few presentations to community opticians and hospital nurses. Website
